Vijayan is a passionate sophomore in high school with a flair for music and automobile engineering. His love for music led him to learn four musical instruments. He was selected to play for Arizona Middle School All State Honor Band and High School Regional Band for the last four years. He has learnt Piano for ten years and he received the “Facilitator of the year” award for the year 2022 by Youth Artists Development Association, Arizona for facilitating the Piano Do It Daily Sessions. In 2021 he received the “Student of the year” award for music for his grade level in his school. He was also a member of the National Junior Honor Society and Tri-M Music Honor Society. He is also an active member of the Model United Nations Club in his school and plays competitive cricket within the country.
Playing musical instruments is Vijayan's happy place. During the Covid-19 pandemic when everyone including kids were under lock down, Vijayan found his solace in playing the Piano and because of his compassion, wanted to help other children who could not afford music lessons find their solace in music just like him. So, he started a music program called “Vijayan’s Music for All” and after two years of successfully teaching four students, he decided to make his music program a nonprofit organization to help many more kids. Thus, because of his compassion for others and love for music, he founded Music Academia.
In addition to being Music Academia's founder, he also adorns the hat of Board Secretary. As the Secretary of Music Academia, he works independently and with others scheduling board meetings, curating the agenda, noting down meeting minutes, distributing organization communications, etcetera. He works responsibly in a well-organized manner.
Vijayan enjoys spending his spare time learning about the latest cars, attending car shows, finding good travel deals, and having fun with his friends and family.
